Knowing How to use a guitar tuner is pretty important. here is a guide with simple 4 step formula
Using a guitar tuner is pretty simple. Select the string you wish to tune your guitar too. The low E is usually the best place to start. Then follow this process
1. Play the tuners low E, Play your low E
2. Listen to the sound and try to judge if you E string is lower or higher than the tuners. Adjust the tuning peg until your guitar matches the tuner
3. Repeat the process for each of the open strings
4. It's usually worth re-checking when you have finished to see if the guitar is still in tune. Sometimes the Low E will go slightly flat so you will need to re-tune your Low E string
